 Raster (bitmap): Bitmap images offer a fixed resolution and cannot be resized without losing image quality.

Raster editors: Raster Graphics editing software is used to create and edit pixel based artwork. A pixel is a single point in a picture. Pixel based artwork includes photos or any images that are raster formats such as JPEG, PNG, GIF and TIFF.

Vector: Vector graphics are computer images created using a sequence of commands.

Vector images editors: A vector graphic editor is a computer program that enables it's users to create, compose and edit images with the use of mathematical and geometrical commands rather than individual pixels.

Layout: Layout refers to the arrangement of visual elements on a grid to convey a specific message.

Layout editors: Arrange information such as text, graphics and photographs for visual media, such as online and print formats.
