Museum reflection.
Mohammed Uddin 5/24/23 First artwork i saw in the museum was hercules holding a lion that he killed and they made a statue of him holding the lion. Hercules leaning on his club, which has the skin of the Nemean lion draped over it, In myths about heracles, killing the lion was his first task.The materials that were using in their making was marble and bronze. The techniques were used to make the statue was called lost wax casting. It depicts a muscular, yet weary. Pouring molten metal into the hollow mold. Another technique is carving, which involves cutting and shaping a block of stone or wood into the desired form. The stuff the we learned in our class that applies to the statue is the BCE. Second artwork i saw was the marble statue of a lion. It dates back to 400-390 BCE and was probably used as a tomb monument or a guardian at a large tomb facade or a many classical Greek work of art, this statue was taken to Rome during imperial period.
